We are currently seeking an Accounting Associate for our firm. Accounting Associates assist in the planning and setup of engagements. They may also assist with research and other projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets up current year files

  • Prepares confirmations

  • Performs audit procedures

  • Prepares tax returns

  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

  • 6 months of related experience preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills (internal and external); Ability to understand own and others' emotions to achieve desired goals

  • Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills; Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in a professional setting

  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently

  • Highly motivated and embrace challenges as an opportunity to grow

  • Outstanding organization and project management skills; Take responsibility for quality and timeliness of projects

  • Quickly adapt to a changing work environment, including the use of software, systems and technology

  • Ability to work overtime as needed

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Prepared to travel to clients’ locations, which may include occasional overnight stays (travel expectations vary by department and office location; talk with your local recruiter regarding specifics)
