Introduction to the team

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with management of clients and serving their needs

  • Assist with various tax consulting projects involving research and writing related to tax planning, taxability studies, nexus analyses, audit representation and resolution, refund claims, credits and incentives, etc.

  • Provide preparation, analysis and technical support of indirect tax returns and filings

  • Analyze taxpayer data and evaluate risk in transactions and/or identify tax planning opportunities for prospects and clients

  • Keep up to date on state and local tax law changes

  • Participate in business development activities as needed

  • Develop internal relationships within the firm and help grow external branding

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in accounting, finance or engineering preferred

  • CPA or CMI certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of related tax experience required

  • Previous experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on state and local tax issues preferred

  • Previous experience performing multi-state tax compliance work preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Creative problem solving and research skills

  • Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently

  • Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projects

  • Able to provide prompt and reliable client service - Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Willingness and ability to travel, as needed, up to 10%

Compensation Range (Denver Market ONLY): California State-$85,000 -$144,000 Colorado State-$79,000 -$120,000 Remote - $79,000 -$120,000
